This communion service began with the Psalm 23, the Gloria Patri and the hymn of praise was "Christ Is Risen." We had words of joy and testimony, and two Junior Church Members sang "Jesus Loves Me." We had special music, sung by Mark Tolle.

The theme for today's sermon was life through Christ.

Joh 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Joh 14:2
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Joh 14:3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Joh 14:4
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Joh 14:5
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

Joh 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Pastor Robbie said the way you live your life betrays what you believe. We may pray at church on Sunday, but we need to emulate Jesus in our daily lives as well.

Joh 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joh 1:2
The same was in the beginning with God.

Joh 1:3
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Joh 1:4
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Joh 5:25
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

Joh 5:26
For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

Joh 5:27
And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

Joh 10:8
All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

Joh 10:9
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Joh 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly

Joh 11:23
Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

Joh 11:24
Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Joh 11:25
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Joh 11:26
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Joh 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Pastor Robbie said it is important to remember the context of these passages. "Let not your heart be troubled" came before the betrayal of Jesus. Jesus knew what would happen and yet offered eternal life to those who believe. If we do not truly believe, and we are just going through the motions, then that is really a mockery -- an affront to God. But if we believe, even though we may stumble and fall, we can still find eternal life through the amazing grace of God.

Before we celebrated communion, Pastor Robbie explained that it is not the elements themselves which cause the mystery of the sacrament, but rather the sacrifice of Jesus which the elements represent: the body and blood of Our Lord.

The closing hymn was "Where He Leads Me."
